I had a lot of different options for my project, and step one was to pick a direction to go towards.
I wanted to do something that I would enjoy learning about, and would maybe help me in the future. Back at the beginning of this journey, I had recently decided to go into forensic science in college, and I thought that doing my capstone on forensics would be a great way to start my journey. |
I had also decided to read a book called Forensic Faith by J. Warner Wallace, and I thought I could tie in the element of faith into my project, and share what I found about being a Christain and having a "forensic faith."
My faith is very important to me, and I wanted a way to grow in my faith, and be able to share it with others through my passions. I am very happy with the topic I picked, and I hope that I will be able to show my love for science and Jesus through it. |
The research behind capstone projects is probably the biggest and most important part of the journey. In Lights Academy, I spent about four months gathering differernt kinds of research, interiewing people, and working on a way to present the things I gathered.
I spent a lot of time making sure what I had gathered were good, interesting facts that my audience would like, and finding a way to present it that would catch their attention. |
