What is Forensics? |
The word 'forensic' applies to courts or the judicial system, and when you add 'science' to the end, it means applying scientific methods and proccesses to solving crimes.
So, in other words, forensics is the procces behind the scenes of your favorite crime shows, and it's also the process the real life criminal justice system uses to collect and analyze different types of evidence to essentially prove guilt or innocence in cases. A couple specific areas that forensics covers are DNA analysis (genetic geneaology), crime scene investigation (CSI) preservation and reconstruction, and even fingerprint analysis. There are hundreds more things that forensics plays a key role in, but these are the few that we'll be focusing on today. |
While it may seem funny, we can actually use forensics to make the case for Christianity. If you think about it, proving the evidence in court cases is a lot like proving the evidence that we have to back up Christianity.
By showing the evidence, presenting our case, and backing it up with proven facts and processes, then we can use the very thing that others rely on to disprove Christianity (science) to actually prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Jesus came to earth, died for our sins, and that we are saved because of Him. |
